How to Forget your Password

  1. Let a random password generator create your password for you.
  2. Let a random password generator create your password for you using 0-9, a-z, capital letters and special characters. Oh, and anything less than 10 characters just isn’t secure. Why not 15?
  3. Lose your laptop that holds your collection of passwords and then change every single password you’ve ever created and used for the past 6 years, manually, one-by-one.
  4. Use old-skool pager code for your password, but forget whether P’s are 4’s or 9’s. How the heck do you make a K or an X, or a U,V or W for that matter?
  5. Get blindsidedly bonked on the head by any object (stationary or flying) right before you Sign In.
  6. Use the same password for everything, just append a number (or numbers) to the end.
  7. Unknowingly hit the CAPS LOCK BUTTON WHILE CREATING YOUR PASSWORD.
  8. Use your anniversary date or your children’s birthdays as your password. Ouch!
